Gastronomy in North Serbia

DAY 01  |  Arrival in Belgrade

Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Sightseeing of the city. Traditional Serbian dinner in one of the oldest Belgrade restaurants in Skadarlija street. Evening spent in the atmosphere of traditional Serbian music (live band). Accommodation in the hotel and overnight in Belgrade.

DAY 02  |  Belgrade – Sremska Mitrovica – Zasavica – Ruma

Traditional Serbian breakfast with tasting of Serbian coffee (so called “Turkish coffee”). Departure to Sremska Mitrovica (Roman Sirmium) It was one of the most important towns of the Roman Empire and today it is an archaeological site of international significance. Departure to Zasavica - Preserved authentic landscapes, folklore and cultural-historical monuments, describe Zasavica as unique and complete touristic entirety. For the admirers of photo-safari the boat sailing is a true pleasure, because nature will leave you breathless. And, beside natural beauty, cuisine is special attraction. Lunch – homemade typical for Zasavica. Departure to Ruma, dinner and overnight.

DAY 03  |  Ruma – Fruska Gora Mountain – Sremski Karlovci – Novi Sad

Breakfast and departure to Fruska Gora mountain, famous for it’s 17 monasteries dating from the 15th to 18th centuries nestling on its slopes. Visit to one of the monasteries and departure to the small baroque town Sremski Karlovci. Visit to the famous winery, wine tasting and snack. Lunch in a local restaurant on Danube river. Drive to the city of Novi Sad, capital of Vojvodina province, dinner in the restaurant near Petrovaradin fortress. Overnight in the hotel.

DAY 04  |  Novi Sad – “Jelen” Salas

Breakfast. Morning sightseeing tour of Novi Sad with visit of Petrovaradin fortress. Departure toward very north of Serbia. Arrival to “Jelen” Salas (ethno house) near the city of Subotica and Palic lake. Lunch – preparing the typical Vojvodina lunch with the host. Enjoying the afternoon and evening. Accommodation and overnight.

DAY 05  |  Salas – Subotica – Palic Lake – Belgrade

Breakfast with Serbian coffee and cookies. Departure to Subotica, panoramic sightseeing tour and departure to Palic lake which is 8 km long, 950 meters wide and 2 meters deep. The lake’s healing waters have attracted visitors since the 19th century, when its first spa was built. Lunch and free time near the lake. Departure to Belgrade, arrival in the evening, dinner and overnight.

DAY 06  |  Belgrade – departure

Breakfast. Morning sightseeing tour of the city. Transfer to the airport and departure.
